What does the WI~FI communication mean? Why is it called truly wireless?

D7W has the built-in WI~FI via VCI, the VCI and scan tool will communicate with each other with nothing else required.
You do not need WiFi router, or any other networking equipment, signal, or service to make the scanner connect with your car or VCI.
What you need is only to connect the VCI to vehicle OBD2 port and wait for seconds, then it will connect with the tablet directly.
Note: Downloading the software still requires an internet connection!
