MB Box DoIP Mercedes-Benz EZS BackTime Tool

MB Box DoIP is a professional Mercedes-Benz DoIP client designed primarily for EZS time rollback (EZS BackTime) and related SecOC preparation.

On supported Mercedes-Benz vehicles, certain SecOC operations may fail when the EZS contains a newer time value. MB Box DoIP can roll back the EZS time to a suitable earlier value. After the EZS BackTime procedure is completed successfully, the technician can continue the required SecOC operation using compatible professional software and valid authorization.

This product is not a vehicle coding tool. Vehicle coding and subsequent engineering operations must still be performed with software such as DTS Monaco.

Main Purpose: Preparing the Vehicle for SecOC

The primary purpose of MB Box DoIP is to address SecOC operations that cannot proceed because the EZS time is too new.

The general professional workflow is:

1. Connect to the vehicle through DoIP.

2. Allow MB Box DoIP to identify the vehicle and scan the ECUs.

3. Back up the relevant vehicle and EZS data.

4. Perform EZS BackTime.

5. Confirm that the rollback process has completed successfully.

6. Continue the required SecOC operation with the appropriate professional software.

7. Use DTS Monaco separately for coding or other engineering functions.

MB Box DoIP assists with the EZS time-related stage. It does not replace DTS Monaco and does not independently perform general vehicle coding.

No Computer Binding

The MB Box DoIP client is not locked to one computer. It can be used on another compatible Windows computer, subject to the supplied license, hardware, software environment, and seller’s usage terms.

This makes it more convenient for professional technicians who work with multiple diagnostic computers or need to reinstall their Windows system.

Certificate Support

The client supports selected certificate-based operations, including:

• System diagnostic and programming certificates compatible with supported Xentry and DTS environments

• Development and engineering certificates compatible with supported Xentry and DTS environments

• Automatic handling of supported certificate operations without requiring the user to manually connect a certificate to the computer for each procedure

Certificate availability, permissions, and supported operations depend on the supplied package and the authorization level.

Important Clarification

MB Box DoIP is not intended to replace:

• DTS Monaco

• Xentry Diagnosis

• General Mercedes-Benz coding software

• Full engineering or ECU calibration software

Its main role is EZS BackTime and preparation for supported SecOC workflows. Coding must still be completed separately with DTS Monaco or another compatible authorized engineering platform.
